About Music - Which one is true, Alternative Rock or Indie?

My writing this time is about music..

Music is an art of expressing feelings in different ways, also entertainment that can attract many people around the world. According to Psy, a singer and songwriter from south korea, music is the earth’s most legendary and general language. Most music involves people singing while playing a guitar, piano, and drum instrument. Music also has a variety of genres one of which is alternative rock.

Alternative Rock (Alternative) is a genre of rock music that had been booming in the era 90's. As a certain genre of music, style of this music has many local music scene such as grunge, indie rock, Britpop, gothic rock, indie pop, and many others.

In the 80's, alternative tends to be called Indie. Even to this day in Indonesia more popular indie music than alternative rock, in fact Indie itself is not a music genre, but a music movement that is free and independent, not depend on a music label.

There are several alternative bands I know: Radiohead, The Script, Coldplay, Nirvana, 3 Doors Down, Oasis, Secondhand Serenade, Goo Goo Dolls, Silverchair.

If in Indonesia there is Superman is Dead & Efek Rumah Kaca.
